TheLiberative.com is on Your Phone

I thought I was going to have to spend a lot of effort to create a mobile phone version of my website. Fortunately, I discovered a Wordpress plugin by BraveNewCode.com.

The plugin is called WPtouch. I've posted to their forum a few times on some questions I had or features I would like to see. The folks at BraveNewCode responded promptly. That's reassuring. Further, the ease of getting my site to look nice and work relatively well surprised and pleased me.

If you have a mobile phone that can get on the web, please use your phone's browser to go to http://TheLiberative.com/ and check out how it looks. If you would like to go straight to the site's blog page, use http://TheLiberative.com/blog/ as the URL.

As you might expect, the first page will load slowly, but later pages should load more quickly, as pieces get cached in your browser. BraveNewCode says that Disqus Comments will likely be added soon, but they are not available yet. If you wish to enter a comment, you will have to use your desktop's browser for now. I'm hoping to have a hierarchical drop-down menu for the pages of my site soon. Until then, the drop-down menu will list only alphabetically.

So please check out the site on your phone and bookmark it. Who knows when you might be sitting in the waiting room for an appointment somewhere just itching to read the latest posts and articles at TheLiberative.com?!
